Master Roasters

TasCaffe’s founder Nick Cioppi learned the craft of roasting coffee in the traditional style in Melbourne with more than 30 years in the industry. His passion for the craft was so great that he travelled to Italy to complete a Masters course in coffee roasting. Drawing on this knowledge and experience, he carefully created 11 different coffee blends for TasCaffe, remaining true to the traditional Italian style of roasting.

Nick then painstakingly passed on this knowledge and passion to Rachael and Matthew who fully embraced the same traditions. Matthew continued to roast the blends in the traditional European style – full of body and packed with flavour.

Once our beans are roasted, we leave them to sit and “breathe” to allow the gasses from the freshly roasted coffee to expel prior to packaging. This ensures our product is served settled and at it’s optimum for best flavour, taste, texture and giving it a perfect, rich, dark crema.
